O’HANLON. Joseph Dennis BSc(Hons) an Electrical Engineering from Salford University died peacefully on Friday 19th April 2024 at his home in Peel.
Son of the late John O’Hanlon and Dorothy Victoria née Stirling AVCM of Groves Stores (Johnnies) Groves Rd. Pulrose.
He was the brother to the late Eileen Hill, Shelagh Saunders and Brian O’Hanlon
Husband of 55 years to Susan and Dad to Kathryn and the late Christine and father in law to John Griffin and Grandpa Jo to Megan, Samara and Imogen.
Worked for Douglas Corporation Electricity before he and Susan emigrated to Canada for 6 years where Jo worked for BC Hydro at various locations within the Province, returning home to the Isle of Man and ending his career with MEA, now MUA, having spent several years self employed,.
Jo was a keen runner, singer,the spian and motor cycle enthusiast and part of the TT electric bike team amongst many other interests.
If you would like to make a donation in Jo’s memory it will be for Hospice at Home, Braddan, IM4 4RJ, who gave wonderful support to Jo. A service of thanksgiving will be held at St John’s Methodist Chapel on Saturday 11th May 2024 at 2pm, followed by refreshments in St John’s Methodist Church Hall.
